NRFA Chairman Announces Major Changes for the 2023/2024 Northern Regional Division 2 Football Season

In anticipation of the kickoff for the 2023/2024 Northern Regional Division 2 football season, RFA Chairman, Abu Hassan Rhyzo has unveiled a comprehensive set of changes poised to redefine the upcoming campaign.

Disclosed during the RFA’s ordinary congress session, these alterations encompass the introduction of a fresh league format, a strategic realignment of clubs within the division, and the implementation of a structure aimed at eliminating the sub-middle league.

These groundbreaking measures signify a significant shift in the league’s structure and organization, underlining the RFA’s unwavering commitment to enhancing and streamlining the football experience in the Northern Regional Division 2. With just three days remaining until the season kicks off, football enthusiasts eagerly await the unfolding of these changes, anticipating a season marked by innovation and heightened competition.

In a strategic move to bolster the upcoming 2023/2024 Northern Regional Division 2 football season, Chairman Abu Hassan Rhyzo, disclosed that the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) plans to allocate a substantial sum of $100,000.00 for the acquisition of footballs. This financial injection aims to enhance the playing experience and will be distributed among clubs through the various regional football associations.

In addition to this significant investment in equipment, the GFA will contribute a sum of 300,000.00 cedis to the RFAs. This funding is specifically earmarked to support the payment of match day officials throughout the upcoming campaign. This financial support is expected to complement the efforts of the individual football associations, ensuring the smooth operation and fair conduct of matches.
